Special Needs

In 2002, when I was in college, I was feeling a little lost and decided that I needed to get away for the summer.  I wanted to go somewhere new, do something different and have some fun so I applied to work at summer camp.  I ended up being hired to work at Camp Huntington, a residential special needs camp located in New York.  More than a little bit nervous, I hopped in my car on a June day.  I had no experience and had no idea what to expect.

It was the best summer of my life.

The days were long but filled with amazing moments.  When I went back home in August, I left with wonderful friends, beautiful memories and feeling so blessed to have had the opportunity to be a part of those campers lives.

Upon my return home I found a job doing ABA/VB therapy with children with autism and returned to camp every summer until 2007 when my own daughter was born.

I loved every one of those 5+ years working at camp and with children in their homes.

As a photographer, I would love to provide you with beautiful pictures of your family.  Sessions are shot in a documentary style so they are very low key and involve minimal direction from me.  You can read more about them here.

Please know that I am sensitive to your needs and am very willing to customize and make accommodations to make the session as easy on you and your child as possible.
